Basic Rules

Be Respectful
Respect staff and regular members. Bullying and harassment of ANY sort will not be tolerated here. If someone tells you to stop, listen and leave them alone.

Don't Post or Discuss Illegal Material
Basically, if it's illegal don't post photos of it, don't post topics about it, don't discuss it. If you killed someone or you got high last night after underage drinking, we don't want to hear about it. Keep these things to yourself. Got it?

Don't Post Stolen Material
We will not tolerate art theft or plagarism of any kind. If we find out you've been posting stolen art or writing you'll get one warning to remove it and stop posting it before we ban you for at least a month. It's unacceptable to take someone elses hard work and call it your own. ALWAYS provide credit for art that isn't yours if you use it. If an artist doesn't want their work to be used, don't use it.
Also be sure to get PERMISSION to use artwork that isn't yours for OC characters.

Keep Spam to a Minimum
Pretty self-explainatory. Please try to keep useless/pointless topics to the Random Topics board if you absolutely must post about them.

Don't Flame
DO NOT flame other members. What this means is don't try to start drama with people, don't insult members of the forum, don't be a jerk pretty much. Look at our first rule, see how it says to Respect? Flaming is disrespectful and will only get you in trouble.

Keep Cursing to a Minimum
Please try not to swear a lot in your OOC posts. As far as IC goes, knock yourself out. I know how vulgar some of these characters are (I'm looking at YOU Karkat).

Respect Staff
Being rude to staff members and trying to start drama with them isn't going to get you anywhere. If a staff member tells you to do something, please do it, even if you don't agree with them on it. We try to be as respectful as possible to the members of the forum, we expect the same treatment back.

Don't Bump Old Threads
If a thread has fallen back a few pages and hasn't been posted in for over a month, please do not bump the thread unless you are the original poster.

Keep Angst to a Minimum
Please keep angst to a minimal to nonexistant level.

Limit Debates
Friendly debates are ok, full-blown arguments are not. If you're not being mean to anyone and you're having an honest to goodness intellegent debate, go right ahead. The minute things get out of hand the thread will be locked and removed however.

No Mini-modding
If you're not on the staff team, don't try to correct people. Don't point out errors on profiles, don't point out what can and can't be done ICly. I know you probably mean well, but please, let the staff do their job.

Character and Posting Rules

Character Limit
At this time, you may play ONE canon character, and as many OCs as you can handle (just keep in mind you have to stay active with all of them).
We make exceptions to this rule for Staff and for Members who have stuck with us loyally for a long time and have shown dedication to the forum. The reason being, we know we can trust these guys pretty well. So if you want another canon, just tough it out and stick with us. It will pay off, trust me.

OCs
Original characters can be made for only two species right now, Humans and Trolls (and Lusii only if they have a Troll with them, we don't allow solo Lusii). These characters should be original, and not just say a genderbend of a canon. You must fill out the usual application form that you fill out for a canon for your OC and the staff will make sure it's an acceptable OC. (Don't take it too bad if we don't accept your OC, but on the other hand don't worry too much that we won't accept it. We're nice, I promise.)
*PLEASE Try not to repeat symbols with OCs, you cannot use the signs already in use by another character (canon or OC).
*OCs CANNOT be related to canon characters.

Posting Requirements
We don't have a set "you must post this number of posts each week", we just ask that you keep up with posting each month. We will have monthly actvity/character checks where you will have to post telling us who you are playing and if you want to keep them or not, and you will need to post links to all the threads you are in with those characters.
We DO, however, require that your posts are at least two paragraphs with eight sentances each, and that they contain proper spelling, punctuation and grammar.

Personas
We require that you have a seperate account for each character you play (a "Persona"). It's just easier to keep track of things this way. Your persona account's displayed username MUST be your characters' Pesterchum/Trollian tag, UNLESS one is not available, in which case it must be your characters' name. (EX: Eridan would be caligulasAquarium, but Bro would be Bro).
